Capitol Hill Veteran Drew Kent Named First Executive Director of The Governing Majority Education Fund

Mar 7, 2022

Washington D.C. – The Governing Majority Education Fund (TGMEF) today announced former Charlie Dent Chief of Staff, Drew Kent, will become the organization’s first Executive Director.

“Drew’s long-time experience as both a congressional chief and executive director of the official Tuesday Group Caucus make him a perfect fit to lead our organization into the future,” said former Congressman John Faso, President of the Board of Directors of the Governing Majority Education Fund. “During his 5-years running Tuesday Group, Drew grew the caucus in both size and stature in the Republican Conference and I am confident he will continue that streak with TGMEF.”

Drew worked on Capitol Hill for more than 12 years, including serving as chief-of-staff to former Congressman Charlie Dent. Upon Dent’s retirement, Drew entered the private sector working briefly for DLA Piper and most recently with the National Education Association.

“I look forward to joining the Governing Majority Education Fund and building on the successes of advancing common-sense solutions and supporting members who believe in the responsibility of governing for the American people. If the last year has shown us anything, it’s that now more than ever we need strong, thoughtful, and pragmatic leadership in Washington that represents where most of this country is on issues,” said Kent.

The Governing Majority Education Fund is a C(4) dedicated to backing center-right policies and solutions, educating voters on the need for a responsible governing majority in Congress, and supporting the Republican Governance Group/Tuesday Group PAC.

Along with Faso, former congressional members who serve on TGMEF’s Board of Directors are Reps. Susan Brooks, Jeff Denham, Erik Paulsen, Pat Tiberi, and Mimi Walters.
